Welcome to Solo! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Solo's website, platform, and related services ("Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
1. Who We Are
Solo provides tools that help teams access product knowledge more efficiently. Our Services are primarily used by businesses to enable internal teams like Sales, Success, and Product to self-serve technical information.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and authorized to enter into contracts on behalf of your organization to use the Services.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or breach of security.
4. Use of Services
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Services
- Use the Services to infringe on the rights of others or violate any applicable laws
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
5. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Services (including software, content, and branding) are and remain the exclusive property of Solo or its licensors. Using the Services does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property rights. You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to any data, content, or materials you upload or provide to the Services ("Customer Data"), including your codebases and product documentation. Solo does not claim any ownership rights in your Customer Data. By providing Customer Data to the Services, you grant Solo a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and reproduce your Customer Data solely as necessary to provide and improve the Services for you. Solo and any of our third party services will not use your Customer Data to train or fine-tune any large language models or AI systems without your explicit prior consent. At your written request, Solo will delete your Data within 30 days, and provide certification of such deletion.
6. Confidentiality and Security
Solo will treat your Customer Data as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except as necessary to provide the Services or as required by law. We implement reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your Customer Data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. In the event of a confirmed security breach involving your Customer Data, Solo will notify you within 72 hours and cooperate with you to mitigate any impacts. Notwithstanding the Limitation of Liability in Section 11, Solo's liability limitations do not apply to damages arising from our gross negligence, willful misconduct, or unauthorized disclosure of your Customer Data. Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
7. Third-Party Services
Our Services may integrate with or link to third-party platforms (e.g., Slack, GitHub). Solo is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party services.
8. Service Modifications and Availability
We may modify or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time. We'll aim to provide notice when possible but make no guarantees of uninterrupted availability.
9. Data Subject Rights
Individuals have rights under GDPR and similar regulations, including: access to personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of personal data, restriction of processing, objecting to processing, portability of data, and the right to lodge complaints with regulators.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or your organization maintains a subscription with us. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, please submit a request using our Data Subject Request Form. Solo will respond within 30 days of receiving your request. If fulfillment requires additional time or identity verification, we will notify you promptly.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Solo disclaims all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Services utilize artificial intelligence and large language models to process and generate responses based on your Customer Data. Solo makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or lack of bias in any AI-generated outputs. Such outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, hallucinations, or biases inherent in the underlying models or data. You are responsible for verifying and reviewing all AI-generated content before relying on it, and Solo recommends independent human oversight for critical decisions. Solo strives to mitigate biases and promote ethical AI practices but does not guarantee bias-free results.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of or inability to use the Services.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or are otherwise creating risk for Solo or other users.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the Service or email. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes your agreement to the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
15. Logo Rights
Provider may identify Customer and use Customer's name and logo in marketing to identify Customer as a user of Provider's products and services.
